This challenge is for a traditional / classical still life, which is even harder when shooting through the viewfinder, however it’s when working with limitations that we often try and learn new things.
TTV Still Life photo to include the following items:
1. a piece of chinaware (bowl, vase, plate, etc) 2. a piece of food (bread, fruit, fish, etc) (1 or more) 3. a piece of fabric (tablecloth, napkin, backdrop, clothing, etc) 4. any other common object you may wish to add
Be conscious of where your light is coming from. Try to use only one light source.
Have your objects interacting with each other. Some overlapping, some alone.
Consider your colors. A play of color opposites work well, so long as one color dominates, and the opposite is subdued. (teal:orange) or (pink:green). Very similar colors also play well in still lifes.
Traditional still life objects will be slightly below eye level, but like any rule, any of them can be broken, including any of the above.
