Statistically speaking, men prefer chips, to women.

So how's everyone's Summer?
noicework 11 years ago
It's taking forever to get started here in Portland (no surprise). And I prefer chips to women as well. What does that say?
12Bones 11 years ago
Computer chips a little silicone implants and you're all set. No yelling about the toilet seat.

My summer is going good Mike, been working on my cargo truck getting it ready to hit the road one of these days. 2 1/2 years in the making and I'm still devoted to getting it done. I just got done with the front door today. I'll tell you that turning a cargo truck into an R.V. is a job. But hey if any of you want to see it go to my home page on here and check it out for yourself. Until then.

HAVE FUN ! ! !

Something!

But it's winter down this way, and a somewhat cold one (for around here) too.

And I prefer chips to women as well.

It's a parsing thing. It's a confusing way to say more men like chips than do women.

But it's winter down this way

Sorry about that. Summer on the brain here. What's considered cold down under?

Well it was 8C this morning when I got to the train station, so probably 6C when I left the house. Not snow/ice weather, but pretty cold by our standards in Queensland.

You're spoiled. Like I used to be in southern CA. Here we had a few weeks of nightime lows around -10F (-23.3C) this past winter. And a few times we were happy to have daytime highs with plus signs in front of them (F, of course, that's about -18C or so). There's a few weeks in Jan/Feb that we get this mass of Arctic air that just camps out on us. I hate those weeks. Other than those times I like Winter quite a bit.

Well Brisbane is sub-tropical/temperate in climate.
Summer temps go from around 20-25C overnight to 30-38C during the day.
Winter ranges from 0-15C overnight and 15-25C during the day.

Apart from the hot summer days, I quite like the climate. It's cold in winter, but not freezing (well ok you might get one 0C night in the whole of winter). Of course winter also means strong dry westerly winds, which tend to drop the apparent temperature by a few degrees.

Certainly. I remember visiting Hawaii. I found it to be extremely hot and humid, but folks who lived there weren't bothered by it. So I understand the whole relativeness of it all. What's funny is my father was there in Hawaii once in the Winter and the news was on. A nasty biting cold was gripping us back home. The waitress, a Hawaiian native, asked what the temp was at home. It was something like 15F. She looked stunned. "That's like my freezer," she said. They nodded in acknowledgment. She couldn't believe people could live like that.

Of course, sometimes my wife, a California native, can't either.

Is it me, or do our discussions often revert to the weather????? I guess that's just what we old folks do.....

As for the weather... hmmm, yeah it's one of those things I guess. Could be worse, I hear the really old people talk about arthritis and other aches and pains ;-)
12Bones 11 years ago
David I'm not all that old. I'm only 34, but I already feel those aches and pains. I can predict the weather pretty good for my age.
David de Groot PRO 11 years ago
hehehe, yeah I wasn't going to mention the odd pain (and some of them are quite odd), after all at 33 in a couple of weeks time, I'm not meant to have unidentifiable pains yet.

Cola cola makes a great metal-cleaner.
Beer makes great shampoo.
Working nine to five is so restrictive.

I'm 38, but don't feel a day over 15. I place a lot of importance on staying young at heart. Feel free to check out my photos or contact me.
