Pretend that you're a Canuck - it's our Thanksgiving this weekend - so if you're a Canuck then you take Friday off because you want to make it a 4 day weekend.

Oh I wish! Just had a "team meeting" and am about to fall asleep...

Bring on the weekend! Hmmm, Harvest Moon and Bathurst what more could you ask for ;)

So perhaps I'll go with picsbymac's advice. I'm thinking of taking this Friday off. Went up to the mountains with the fam last Saturday for a particularly scenic drive through. It was a bit overcast, but the dramatic skies made for some beautiful views. There were tour buses (!) and many thousands of like-minded leaf peepers. I'd like to get back up there now that we've about hit peak for the colors, maybe with less tourists around. And I've had too much BS this week at work and could use a short week.

The weather is going to be really nice this weekend, my game plan is to head out first thing Sunday morning get my fall colours fix before the tourists hit my haunts.

Oh you guys.... I have to keep reminding myself where you all live... it's so confusing with you talking about the fall colours... I started thinking that it is autumn here... crazy. Anyway, I've been photographing Sydney Harbour all day yesterday and for another 4hours tonight.... my feet are killing me. Can't wait till Monday to get them developed! I'm also driving a few hours south this Saturday to a cute little village (Jamberoo) - I haven't been there before, but I believe it will be worth a visit and, of course, photographing! :)

@ Alison: one of my dearest friends moved near Perth...I always have to remind myself that he's in the opposite season too ; ) What was really weird was when he started talking about 10 Celsius being cold! Enjoy your spring weekend!

Heading down to the Smokey Mountains in a couple weeks to do my leaf peeping. Can't wait! Colors should be at their peak by then. Unfortunately I think I will be too busy this weekend to do much photography... :(

Its Canadian Thanksgiving and I plan to burn through some slide film including some Kodachrome. I will most look forward to not thinking about the job search and all that related stuff.

Well, to all of us who are exploring our respective communities/ecosytems in the coming days and weeks, enjoy. Enjoy being a tourist in your own backyard - IMHO as a thirtysomething being a tourist is one of the best ways to experience and re-experience the world around us. It makes for great photos too!

Mike - hope that today has been better for you ; )

Happy Thanksgiving to my neighbors to the north! I always forget that you celebrate in October.

Alison: The neat thing is that while we'll soon be covered in snow, you can send us beach pictures to make us think warm thoughts.

Picsbymac: Yes, today has been less full of BS.

mike, re beaches I'll see if I can post a few from the sunny beaches of South Africa to help you along. Seems like Alison and I are the only Southern Hemisphere peeps here...?

I've just been away from home for a week in the god forsaken semi-desert called the Karoo (probably loads of tags covering it) and been taking spool after spool (got 5 in 7 days) so I can refine my darkroom techniques... so guess what I'm doing over the weeked... And since I haven't seen my son for a week that'll be my other priority, starting with baby-sitting tomorrow night and then swimming lessons on Saturday morning... Oops when am I gonna fit in developing time?

Enjoy your weekend guys, after a 4 hour drive tomorrow morning mine will be starting!
