Hello friends and contributors,
The Virtual Revolution (aka Digital Revolution) project has come to an end. We had a fantastic amount of success with the project - BAFTA and Emmy awards for the series, of which this group was a part. Massive thanks to all of you who shared your photos and images with the group - some wonderful and thought provoking stuff. Your contributions are very much appreciated.
See you again when the web turns 40? :)
Dan Biddle
Assistant Producer, Virtual Revolution

Group Description

Welcome to 'The Web Is…?' A shared collection of pictures representing the World Wide Web. Literal to abstract; photographs to cartoons; the interpretation is entirely open.

This group has been started the team working on the BBC Multiplatform documentary 'Digital Revolution (Working Title)' - www.bbc.co.uk/digitalrevolution - reflecting upon 20 years of the web (born circa 1989) and the effect it has had on the world.

We'll be sharing any images we create along this theme, but would love to see how the wider web community would answer this question in pictures. Please tag your images #thewebis

So - what is the web to you?
