I'm doing a year long documentary in the area of the Ribble Valley for the final year of a photography degree, it will be a mix of the social side of things (I'm thinking fairs, markets and what have you) and landscape images.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any interesting events coming up over the next 12 months that I could photograph for the social side of thing, or even of locations that I shouldn't really overlook.

I'm fairly new to the Ribble Valley, although I've always lived in Lancashire, so any suggestions would be very warmly received.

Thanks, Rob.
Hi Rob ... better late than never and I'm so sorry that I missed your message only 2 months late !!! :( :(

I have had alot of computer problems and have been very busy with one thing and another ...... there are alot of village field days coming up the first is this Saturday 11th June which is at Longridge then Saturday 18th June in Ribchester they could be fun to photograph.

As for the areas not to be missed for landscapes if you have time please visit the Forest of Bowland which is stunning and there's a view from every angle of this stunning place and so many little villages that seem to have stayed the same for years.

If I think of any fairs or markets along the year and see any posters around my travels I will tell you Rob and again I am sorry for the late reply.

Many regards Sue.
