The key is that there not be any distraction from the overall orange-and-blackness of the alphabet. It's fine to have only orange or only black as long as the rest of the photo is neutral. It's ok with small amounts of other hues as long as it is mitigated, e.g., if the tones are low in saturation.

all right, 35 hours, we'll start with black no orange then.
Good enough for me. Aren't you lot blessed with orange when it comes to redirection signs for pedestrians and cyclists at roadworks? Ours are bright orange and reflecting, with black lettering - a real goldmine for this theme. From those and from ONE orange shipping container with black lettering plus a few more odds and ends I have pieced together a full halloween alphabet. So I'll kind of wait and see where I need in to fill in; try to give the rest of you a chance first.
