The current theme is TEXTILE letters: the letter must be stitched, sewn, embroidered, knitted, crocheted or otherwise threadily attached in or onto some kind of textile (we're not counting paper as a textile here, folks).

what if the letter itself is a textile, but "freestanding" and not attached to a textile in some way?

I think freestanding textiles (like cutout felt letters) would be OK, just my $0.02.

Are letters on canvas OK?

This is such a beautiful alphabet already!
I think freestanding textile letters are OK. Letters on canvas I'm not sure - I don't think they count if they are painted or printed... that's my idea anyway - you have an example?

Desparate times, desperate measures: I have a G. I'd be glad to delete my F if one of you can fill that slot.

Right. It's minus 30 with wind chill. What better way to fill the evening than looking for textile letters in my flat.

Kay. And in Baltimore sidewalks and driveways have up to 4" of ice on them. Trade you!

I've been thinking (ouch!) and I think the important thing is being able to see the weave of the textile. Even if the letter is painted or printed. Which allows me to get away with this K.

Monceau tells me she has Qs (plural!) but she posted the P. So let's delete her P, hope someone else has one, and then she can do the Qs!
we'll wiggle out of this one some way...

You're so quick, Monceau! Not to mention very well endowed with letters. I had a very nice S that I wanted to share so here it is anyway, not in the pool but (appropriately enough) in this thread:

Sorry, urbanmkr! It is a lovely S, very unusual. Maybe we need a multicolor alphabet (letters with at least two colors) so this one can be honored.

But now we need a vee.

Aie aie aie, it's already in the pool (perhaps as a blue letter?)!!!
If there's no W by the time I get home, perhaps I'll be cheeky and repost it to my photostream...
