The current theme is NEGATIVE SPACE, or cut-out letters. The letter must have been created by taking material away and leaving an empty space, rather than by adding material in. (Like a stencil before you put the paint through it onto the paper.)

NB This means we'd like to see through the letter to a background that is made of different stuff from the letter (including just air if it's a cut-out like the E) - letters that are mere imprints don't count. Hope that's clear...

Just clarified the definition a little following an exchange with fellow top letter geek (mag3737) - sorry to be adding extra rules when we're nearly a fifth of the way through!

Then I should remove my C. Please let me know if you want me to remove it :)

No, let's leave it in, it was our fault for not being clear enough and it's a very handsome C.

I dont know if my H totally fits or not?
Its stained glass so you can see through it, but its not "cut out" as such....
remove if you feel its out of place
else its an I for an I

i am not sure that this H qualifies. the fact that there is glass there, shaped like the letter H, i think ruins it. "see-through" and "cut-out" are more like rules of thumb, not the true definition. what's really important is that the letter should not have itself been fabricated or composed, but rather that everything BUT the letter is fabricated, and as a result there appears to be a letter there. or put another way, the letter itself is the background to something else.

here's what wikipedia has to say about negative space.

Hallo! I agree with mag3737 so I've removed the H from the pool.
Perhaps we will have a see-through or translucent themed alphabet one day that it can belong to!

i have a T like my N, but it's already in the pool for another theme:
T Marilyn
which reminds me, i have been meaning since the beginning to call out the excellent 'e' from urbanmkr (also already in the pool) which inspired me to suggest this theme in the first place:
E
