"To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as of a precise organization of forms which give that event its proper expression” -HCB

Group Description

This is not just yet another decisive moments group... What differentiates this one from the others is that we are not 'too uptight' when it comes to accepting images to the pool. Yet, we are heavily curated... So, please submit only your best ones.

Group Rules

Quality decisive moment shots please, when submitting. Good photography is also very important, we don't want snap shots.

Please take a look at the pool and if you don't shoot decisive moment shots that often, do a little research online as to what is the illusive decisive moment. Usually it is a moment captured that cannot be reproduced, right when something is about to happen or some kind of juxtaposition and/or shots that involve multiple subjects in a scene that looks almost choreographed.

Sometimes, there would be exceptions when the power of a photo, a look, a gesture or just timing/framing would qualify a shot that doesn't fit into the norm. Those shots are so very welcome.

Remember that HCB shot of a kiss, 'Once in a lifetime opportunity' ?
Without the dog looking on, that wouldn't have been a decisive moment shot. Same thing applies to the 'bike and stairs' shot... without the underlying geometry, framing and timing, it would be just an architecture bases street shot with the human element.

Street and candid photos only...
Admins/moderators reserve the right to delete any photos from the pool.
