Group Description

Join the #IPLEDGE conversation to Stop Rape in Conflict!

Make a personal pledge to take action supporting the Campaign in your own community and visit www.stoprapeinconflict.org to be inspired by what others are pledging to do!

The International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict unites organizations and individuals into a powerful and coordinated effort for change. Together we will demand bold political leadership to prevent rape in conflict, to protect civilians and rape survivors, and call for justice for all—including effective prosecution of those responsible.

Every action starts with you! Spread the message by sharing your #IPLEDGE of the action you will take for the Campaign within your own community. The Campaign will circulate the #IPLEDGE through social media to show world leaders that they should make a pledge too to stop rape in conflict!

It's simple:

Step 1: Take a picture of yourself holding up a sign with your #IPLEDGE. For inspiration, check out some of the amazing #IPLEDGE's we have received: www.stoprapeinconflict.org/i_pledge

Some ideas on what to say in your pledge:
- Tell us why the Campaign is important to you
- Tell us what action you will take – and remember, no action is too small
- Take a photo with you in action, if possible

Step 2: Share your #IPLEDGE with us:
- Post it to our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/stoprapeinconflict
- Tweet it to us @stoprapecmpgn using the hashtag #IPLEDGE
- Email your image to web@stoprapeinconflict.org
- If you have a personal Flickr account, add to it to this Flickr group: www.flickr.com/groups/stoprapeinconflict/

Note: Your sign can be made of anything but ideally something recycled or reusable like some cardboard or a chalk board. You could also make your pledge by writing on the photo using a computer application.

By sending us your photos on Twitter, Facebook or Flickr - you are giving us permission to use it on our website and in future Stop Rape in Conflict publications.
