Group Rules

We’re delighted that you want to share your photos with us. There are just some house rules we want to highlight before you post to the group pool as we want everyone to enjoy your photos.

All images must have been taken at Historic Scotland properties or events. We are happy for you to take photographs, including flash photography in our properties if they are intended for personal use only. Photography is not permitted in the Scottish National War Memorial or the Honours of Scotland at Edinburgh Castle. We also do not allow photography at St Vigeans Museum for conservation reasons.

Any images deemed to be in breach of these guidelines, unsuitable for a family audience, of material that is deemed sensitive and/or bound by current copyright, patent or trademark restrictions will be removed from this group at any time without notice. Repeat offenders will be blocked. Please see our photography guidelines.

We want to receive a rich variety of photos from you so please avoid flooding the pool with multiple similar or identical photos. Please tag and/or add descriptions to your photos so that others can find your photos and include the tag “Historic Scotland” and "Stirling Castle".

We look forward to seeing your photos. Have fun!
