I am going to be presenting a slideshow and lecture called "The Post-Industrial Shores of Staten Island" this Tuesday May 18th!
I will be presenting my photographs from around Staten Island, including an abandoned chewing gum factory, a partially demolished color works, rotting train stations, empty hospitals and boat graveyards. These photographs were described in the Staten Island Advance as documenting "places that even the forgotten have forgotten."
The presentation is part of "Freshkills Park Talks" - a lecture series related to the Freshkills Park project in Staten Island. It will take place from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Cargo Cafe at 120 Bay Street in Staten Island. For more information, please visit thsi link:
