Attention: Steve Salgo

Amateur photographers are invited to participate in our annual photography contest.
Subject matter is limited to the cultural, natural, and recreational resources of Fort
Wadsworth, Great Kills Park and World War Veterans Park at Miller Field. Images may
include historic buildings, fortifications and scenic landscapes, as well as plants,
recreation and wildlife in the natural environment.

1. Print size requirements must be 8x10, 8x13 or 11x14.
2. Do not mount or frame the prints.
3. Photographer's name, contact information, location of the photo and title must be
written on the back of each print.

Submission Deadline: Friday, November 28, 2008
No more than three photos submitted from each photographer
All photographers will receive a receipt if dropped off at the Miller Field Visitor Center

3. Photo--shop Enhance
4. High School Students
5. Fourteen years and under

Winning photographs will go on temporary exhibit at World War Veterans
Park at Miller Field, Building 4, in Winter 2009.

Can photos of other areas of Staten Island be submitted, for instance Staten Island Greenbelt?

@bluetrail1 - No your photos must be taken within Gateway, this includes Ft. Wadsworth, Great Kills Park and Miller Field. You need not take the obvious, it can be a portrait or a macro.

Robert is correct. The images must be of one of our three park sites; Fort Wadsworth, Miller Field or Great Kills Park. But we encourage unusual views and subjects, including macros, etc.

Did I miss the Winter 2009 exhibit? I'd love to take a look at the work?

@ -cricket- Stop by the Visitors Center in Ft. Wadsworth. They usually have the photos on display for a few weeks.
