Drag to set position!

Milusa ADMIN July 30, 2012
Our goal is gathering together some of the most spectacular and beautiful images of insects and arachnids displayed on the Flickr website and in the process making the photographer feel 'special' seeing that their work in another's opinion is admired enough for a special invitation!
We would also ask that there be no nudity, too many people, or buildings in the invited images.
We hope that you enjoy posting, viewing and inviting others here! Have fun !!!

What is the difference between Arachnids and Insects?

Spiders and Scorpions, which belong to the class Arachnida, are commonly mistaken for insects. Arachnids differ from Insects in their anatomy and development from immature to mature stages. While Arachnids have eight legs, Insects have six; Arachnids lack the wings and antannae that Insects possess. Arachnids do not undergo transformation, Insects metamorphose through stages - larval, pupal, and adult. Finally, the eyes of Arachnids are simple while those of the Insects are compound.
