I wanted to see if I had been wasting money buying filters so I set up a test. I took a few pictures testing the effects of a circular polarizer and an infrared filter. Since the H7/H9 is a new camera(and very narrow when it comes to accessories) I thought I'd show you what you might want to pay for. I hear people in forums asking about polarizers a lot. Also, to my knowledge no one on flickr has tested an H-series camera for its infrared capabilities(besides the H9's nightshot). I have to say, I liked my results, I hope you do too. If not for quality, then for deicisive dicision making. Let me know what you guys think. I know for me it felt like a shot in the dark as to wether these things would even be worth it. Hope this lights the way a little for you. BTW It's under "Filter Test", its my only set.

What filters are you gonna get first? Or do you have some already?

Going to pick up a CPL and a IR filter just like you, thats for starters just to see how it goes. I will post my results to show you what I get.

I just ordered a 74-72 step down adapter also. I have several filters I use on my Nikon in this size including a few Cokin "P" series filters. I definitely want to get an IR filter to experiment with.
