Hello everyone, I've only just discovered Flickr and this group :)

I've had an Alpha 330 for just under 2 years now, although I haven't really done a huge amount with it until the past month or so and I'm really pleased with the results.

I also have a Panasonic TZ8 which I have been using in preference to the Sony as it's far less complicated. Having said that, I do realise that if I can get to grips with the Sony, I will get far better results. I had an Olympus OM-10 35mm SLR camera donkeys years ago and didn't seem to do too badly with it.

I have generally been using the Sony in full auto, but I get the feeling that aperture priority is the way to go. Can you confirm this (or otherwise) please? I have been playing with this, but I do seem to be struggling a little with the relationship between aperture / DoF / focus.

All suggestions gratefully received

Thank you
