personaly i have a sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5, and that works pretty well i've to say, even if i didnt really had time to do some deep tests on it (i've got it for 1 week)...

I have SIGMA 18-250 HSM f/3,5-6,3 and works perfect.

Got my hands ona Minolta AF 50 - 50 mm f/1.7 would highly recomend anyone to pick one up if they it as it should be cheap
I want a 50 mm for sure..looking on ebay at one now for 30 bucks...I have one for my Nikon d60 and absolutely love it, gonna get a 55-200 sometime to as I always use this on my Nikon when I walk on the trail and what not
