Our 2,500th image is here - "Spring" Street Democracy in action! Our 2,000th photo was also of spring on the State Library forecourt: as a child frolics on the grass, a pigeon flutters close by.
Group DescriptionThe State Library of Victoria is one of Australia's oldest cultural institutions. It is the major reference and research library in Victoria, responsible for collecting and preserving Victoria's rich and varied documentary heritage. Items on display include rare books and maps, Ned Kelly's armour, and paintings and pictures revealing the life and culture of Victoria.
This group aims to collate photos of this iconic Library – its magnificently restored heritage spaces, its exhibitions, events and the thousands of people who visit, use and enjoy it everyday.
