Group DescriptionThis group is for photos taken in the 1970s, in London, and with potentially identifiable London content. That is, a photo of a person against a brick wall doesn't count, (unless I suppose the person is a famous London figure). But pictures of or including London streets, shops, buildings, skylines, no matter how obscure, do belong here.
I'm now being a little bit fussier. Multiple photos of 'iconic' London landmarks need something to differentiate them from the rest, similarly a photo might be right for place and time, but have NO content that doesn't look exactly the same now or comparatively recently. (Hint: availability in larger sizes increases the likelihood of visible relevant content.) Shops, signs, people and fashions from the time are winners. If it's JUST transport I'm a bit less keen, mainly because these seem to be so well catered for in more specialised groups. Don't wish to discourage, just to be clear and to explain the few cases where I've rejected an offered photo.
