Group Description

Science is happening all around us – not just in a classroom or a lab. Science Chicago’s Flickr group is a forum open to anyone around the globe who wishes to awaken their inner scientist and demonstrate through photography, the ways that science impacts our daily lives. Have you caught a glimpse of wildlife in your own backyard? Had hands-on experience with new technology? Traveled to a new and exotic destination? Or conducted an experiment at a recent Science Chicago event? We want to see the science that you see – so snap away!

By submitting your photos, you’ll help showcase the natural wonders of our city, surrounding communities and universe and become an integral part of Science Chicago’s broader mission to spur thoughtful debate and build enthusiasm for cutting-edge science.

As the world’s largest science celebration, Science Chicago allows kids of all ages to explore the wonders of our region’s scientific resources. More than 100 of the area’s academic, cultural, corporate, and non-profit institutions have come together under the Science Chicago umbrella to offer thousands of programs throughout the city and suburbs. Group Rules

Please tag all of your photos with “Science Chicago”. Additionally, we would love it (to the best of your ability) if you could also tag your photos with the location and description of the image. Geotagging is also welcome and encouraged!

As with many groups, please stick to adding three images at a time to allow for other members to upload his/her images. This helps keep variety in the group.

There is no limit to the amount of photos you can upload in a day; however, please be considerate and allow others to add their photos.
