I'd like to build a list of useful San Diego bird watching resource websites here. Post replies with your site suggestions and if I feel they are useful to the group, I will add them to the list.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SAN DIEGO RELATED SITES:
- www.sandiegoaudubon.org --- "The San Diego Audubon Society"
- www.bird-friends.com --- "Bird friends of Lake Murray & San Diego"
- projectwildlife.org --- "Project Wildlife cares for injured, orphaned, and sick native wildlife of San Diego County"
- Birding San Diego County --- "...these pages represent a compilation of my personal records for some of my favorite birding sites around the county."
- San Diego County Bird Atlas --- "The complete San Diego County Bird Atlas is now available as a Google Earth application."
- SDBIRDS --- "Updated bird sightings and locations for the San Diego and Imperial County areas."
- fog.ccsf.cc.ca.us/~jmorlan/sd.htm --- An extensive list of bird clubs, sites, and resources for San Diego County.
NON-SAN DIEGO SPECIFIC SITES:
- www.whatbird.com --- "Identify birds in North America for bird watching or as a bird guide."
- www.fatbirder.com --- "Fatbirder is the premier web resource about birds, birding & birdwatching for birders"
- DoD Partners in Flight --- "Partners in Flight was initiated in 1990 in response to declining populations of migratory birds, and to emphasize the conservation of birds not covered by existing conservation initiatives."
- We Love Birds --- Hosted by the NRDC and Cornell Lab of Ornithology. "Together, the two organizations invite all bird enthusiasts to use this space to meet each other and to learn more about birds and the issues they face. Happy birding!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please let me know if any of the links stop working.

The San Diego Natural History Museum gives directions at:
www.sdnhm.org/ge_files/birdatlasguide.pdf
telling how to access the San Diego County Bird Atlas as a Google Earth overlay. It gives information about the seasonal and geographic distribution of the birds of San Diego County.

i just have some images on my site. Just the basics for i sell them in matted and greeting card form.
Now i do have a book published that i am awaiting today for delivery, maybe tomorrow. Just full of images of flowers, insects, birds as well as landscapes.
am so happy you go this group together. I was kicked out of the sdbirds through yahoo. I was less than 2 years into birding and still didnt know much. NOW, hey i dont know much compared to some, but i know how to have fun.
thankyou nick for inviting me. (hey did you know nicholas means victory?)

groups.yahoo.com/group/SDBIRDS/ -- This is an active site that has reports pretty much every day where different birds are being found around the county.

Thank you very much Nick. I had no idea the resources available. The complete San Diego County Bird Atlas as a Google Earth application looks like a treat!
