International Rock-Flipping Day 2011 is Sunday, September 11. Please see the complete description at Wanderin' Weeta.

Group Description

International Rock-Flipping Day is the second Sunday in September*: in 2014, it will be the 14th of September. This group is for people to share photos or other images they have created of whatever they find under rocks on that day. Pictures of people (or bears, raccoons, etc.) flipping rocks on that date are also permissible. Photos or artwork may be posted later, but they should have been taken during, or created in response to, Rock Flipping Day.

Please remember to replace all rocks that you flip, and be careful not to crush anything beneath them.

*Schools and other groups may wish to join in on the Friday or Monday, to fit into your schedule.
EXCEPTION FOR SCHOOLS: Since schools aren't in session on Sundays, school teachers may organize IRFD-inspired events on either the preceding Friday or the following Monday and post their results to this group.
