The British Library ADMIN February 5, 2010
We are closing Ramayana Now.

Thanks to all of you who've joined up and shared your pics with us. It's fantastic to see so many great shots. However we've decided to close the group now, so we won't be accepting any more submissions.

Thank you again from all of us

This group discussion is for members only.

Group Description

This group is for photographs inspired by the story of Ramayana and the British Library's exhibition Ramayana: Love and Valour in India's Great Epic.

Ramayana is one of Hinduism's epic stories. It follows Prince Rama’s quest to rescue his beloved wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana with the help of an army of monkeys.

The British Library's exhibition explores the story of the Ramayana and how it has been represented and retold over the centuries and in different countries and cultures, up to and including the present day. It is still regularly performed in dance, drama, and shadow puppet theatre around the world.
