Hey everyone-
I've never used anything but natural light in my photography, but i'm wanting to learn more about lighting techniques, set ups, etc. I'm from Portland, but I go to school at U of O full time, so I was wondering if anyone new of a good class for a beginner that I could take in decemeber to january during break? Or even that I could sign up for now for the summer.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to PDX Strobist, if you found Strobist then have you done the following?

Complete Lighting 101 here:
strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101.html

and then moved on to the Strobist Lighting seminar here:

If you are looking for a formal attendance classroom course then I will let the others chime in. Nice photostream by the way.

Too bad you werent a week earlier on this posting, casue over at Newspace they had a class called "Creative Strobist Techniques"
www.newspacephoto.org/classes/strobist.php

or you can just come to the meetup/photoshoot at the end of the month over at Whoowls condo on Sunday November 29th and probably learn just as much for free.
