I saw the discussion for the next meet up, and I kind of feel like it is excluding models. Are we not a part of the PDX group? Serious question, I am not being snarky.

I know that this group is mainly about the photography, but are we just subjects, or are we part of the group?

Models are definitly part of the group and the next meetup hasnt been planned yet. Datangpdx was just throwing out some ideas to get the ball rolling on the new year. And as for the Kung Fu shoot I dont see any problem in having models attend. But it really depends on the people that own the location and being able to respect their wishes.
Honestly i'd love to shoot you or another model at the Kung Fu shoot (and i'm sure i'm not the only photographer that feels the same way)

Thanks for clearifying. It just seemed to be the angle it was going.

good to hear we are part of the group =)

Maybe the kung fu masters could attack some models! That would be all inclusive.

Thanks Amber, it was fun shooting with you yesterday. I'll have some more pics up soon...

Any member regardless of if they are a photographer or model (or both) can propose a shooting idea. The event itself will dictate the number of people that can attend and in rare cases who can attend. I think brain storming about possible shoots, no matter how far fetched, is a good thing.

If it weren't for the models, I would have been taking pictures of brownies and cookies. ;)

still life is boring when done all of the time. human interaction is where it's at, and i'd always prefer to work with other people such as models. i do plenty of landscape and cityscape, so it's fun to mix it up. :D
