Like penthouses, lofts, apartments, etc...

I'm looking for experienced strobist(s) that are interested in collaborating on these types of shoots.

I have a shoot coming up in Hood River and could use some help. I've been there before and the interior lighting is poor when shooting in daylight. We might be able to make it into a great project so I'm open to suggestions and the owners are pretty flexible. Great place for model shoots or just some time away.

Are you trying to go for something like a real estate ad? Or are you shooting models inside (I'm referring specifically to the Hood River shoot).

This is a set of rentals that the owner needs some promotional photos done for web pages and possibly print. Stefanie and I were there a couple months ago to check it out and shoot a little but the lighting is poor during the day and I didn't bring anything but a flash on that visit. Some of the photos have potential but most need to be re-shot with proper lighting. I've been asked to come back a couple times this month and next staying a couple days each time in an attempt to match the weather with the look they are going for.

I was planning to trade penthouse time for the work rather than cash. Basically get x nights credit in trade (which I would share). I may or may not do some model shoots while there but it is a nice setting for it.

I don't remember where I saw this, but a good way to light a large space with only one flash is to composite your shots. Basically light individual pieces of the room and then put them all together in Photoshop with layers. oh and make sure to have your camera on a tripod, so all your layers will line up.

Thanks, this is perfect. While the tough shot is during the day with the river bright and blue they also want some sunset and although interior I'd think many of the articles sunset concepts from the article might be applied to the living room too.
