After went through two Strobist meetups, I have decided to upgrade my new PW+2 to PW MultiMAX to avoid any future accidentally strobe hijacking. I don’t mind people trigger my strobe as I have long last fresh batteries, but I felt guilty trigging others.

Now the problem is I heard there are several different firmware versions of MultiMAX . Also a rumor with new MultiMAX is on the horizon; the one able to control E-TTL similar to Radio Popper. Anybody know anything about this?

BTW, I am selling PW+2 (3 sets) if anybody is interested. Got them for about two months and use it twice for the previous Strobist meetup.

@GeoFX: I believe there is no need to get multimax's, unless your using them for paid gigs where there's a bunch of other photographers using PW's. And if your mainly only using them for the strobist group, i'd stick with the regular PW's and we'll just have to coordinate things a little better at future shoots...

I think I only had one person trip my lights last weekend at Whoowl's and that was you sitting downstairs just pushing the test button a bunch of times :)
So i'm sure if you were on the same channel as me downstairs earlier in the night, i mustve of been tripping your lights a bunch too from upstairs.

Jeff, are you sure it was me? All Asian do looks alike. ^_^ Okay, I admitted, just testing out how far can PW reach.

I use 1 Multimax and 3 other PW2+. I use the Multimax on occassion to delay sync for rear curtain.

After the last meet, I too am considering an upgrade to all Multimax for the additional channels. I'll most likely get the radio poppers first, however, because I now have 4 580ex II.
