My latest purchase arrived, and unfortunately it's a 454... What shall I do with such a beast? Apart going broke trying to get film to feed it, that is...

Er, congrats? ^__-

I'm not too sure as I have never played with a 454, but aren't there Type 100 film backs with the universal style adapter that could fit it? I believe it's the 405 film back.

Anyone know for sure?

I'm really dumb, the back is a regular Polaroid CB-103, screwed on the frame that anchors to the back. So my 454 uses 100 packfilm. :)

Now I wonder if the viewfinder is set for 4x5 film, and how it will frame with smaller film. I'm tempted to load one of my four remaining 3000 asa films...

I loaded the camera with 100 film, and it's as I feared: the camera is designed for 4x5, and with the smaller film the two top frames are narrow, and the bottom ones are two small squares.

I gues I overpaid a hunk of metal, and a CB-103 back.

You mean with Type 100 film it gives you something like this?

Vanillina by Fabrizio - Real Polaroid

That could be a pretty fun to play with!
