The body of a harvestman is not only so characteristic that the animals are easy to recognize ; it is also unique, or at least it is unlike the body of any other Arachnid. The cephalothorax is composed of six somites and it bears the six pairs of appendages common to the whole Class. In the abdomen ten somites may with difficulty be recognized.
