Todd Ehlers ADMIN February 5, 2011
January 2011: REMEMBER

1. No colorized photos.
2. No advertisements.
3. No postcards.
4. AMATEUR ONLY
5. IF I CANNOT VIEW your photos in All Sizes mode, I am FAR LESS LIKELY to allow them.

Group Description

Color--especially Kodachrome--a must.

Others highly favored:

Slices of commonplace American city, rural, and small-town life.

Interiors, exteriors, businesses--but all within the time parameters (1961 or earlier).

Average folks are stressed. Photocolor ought to be at least average in saturation and brightness. I tend to frown on images that appear to have been "pushed" digitally.

And, obviously, Canada is most welcome here!

ATTENTION: Charter Member Sherlock77, via his dad's color slides of the 1950's, contributes some of the finest examples of what this Group is meant to be all about. Check his work out in this pool to see the gold standard.

Finally, I invite you to check a superb set of Sherlock's own that surpasses this group for numbers, content, and quality. Many you will recognize from this public group. (Thanks again, Sherlock!) Just click here.

Group Rules

Todd Ehlers ("The Color Coordinator" and originator of this pool) says:

NO professionally made color material: posters, postal cards, advertisements, and the like.

If you've had material pulled: Flickrmail me with a URL to the shot in question and I'll explain.
