I saw this on one of my web sites recently and was fascinated by the degree of information this program provides to the serious photographer. The video does an excellent job of describing the variatious nuances of the software and culminates in a representation of the resulting image based on the calculations used. Try it.

The Photographer’s Ephemeris app is available for Android and iOS mobile devices and there’s also a free desktop application available for both Windows and Mac.

For best results, combine TPE with Google Earth & Stellarium -- One for the realistic 3D look of the surrounding landscape and the other for more details on the (day & night) sky
