Group Description
New Philadelphia, Illinois, established by Frank McWorter in 1836, was the first town in the United States planned in advance and legally founded by an African American. This Flickr group is a resource for everyone interested in the New Philadelphia Archaeology Project to share and comment on photos and images. Among other activities, you can use the tools of Flickr to mark areas on maps, aerial photos, and data images, and add comments on what research you would like to see undertaken and how you interpret what you see. This is also a place for members of the local community, descendant community, and archaeology researchers to contribute photos and other images and exchange comments on them.Group Rules
You agree that your communications will be carried out with civility and respect and in the spirit of learning and civic engagement.Additional Info
