I'm going to tag my latest shot I think. After seeing it come up on the scanner preview, I experienced emotions way beyond happiness!

I'd traveled there specifically to get that shot (and two others), spent 7 minutes in zero degrees (centigrade) temperature praying so hard that the shot would work....

:D

Sounds great man :) But to help out with the challenge, you should put that little story in the description. Otherwise people are gonna be thinking "that tree doesn't look that happy!" ;)

Oh boy .. I really hope my very first brand new Canon 400 DSLR is here within the week to capture the moment. If not I'm thinking about clowning around with my Caplio Point n Shoot. .. wish me luck!

@ Wolf .. I have too agree with Neil on this one. The photos that really grab me have a description about the composition and tell a story. I loved reading about the 'lead up' to your tree photo and it conveyed to me your interpretation about 'happiness' in this instance. .. I am a tree hugger too and love it when someone leaves a little more information about the situation and circumstances of their capture. ..

Love the tree by the way and it would gets bit warm hugs from me for sure!

I've added and tagged two photos — but I've just realised I'm not entirely clear on the rules of the challenge, so I may have to withdraw them. I didn't take the photos specifically for the challenge, nor did I take them this week. Can someone let me know whether I should take them out of the pool again? They're here and here. Thanks!

Both of those photos are perfectly fine Kake. There aren't really any rules to the challenges. They're meant to be very informal and casual, rather than the stricter monthly photo projects on the blog. You can have taken the challenge photos at any time, so you can pull them from your archive if you like. You can also submit as many photos as you like to the challenge.

The only thing I would prefer with challenge photos is it would be nice if they were also submitted to the group pool. But even that's not a cumpulsory requirement - it just may not be possible to include them as one of the weekly picks otherwise.

Thanks for your contributions!

Happiness is such a wonderful challenge topic. It means different things to different people. For me, nothing is quite as sweet as the laughter and happiness I see in my son (almost 11 months old). The world is such a wonderful and interesting place to him right now. So I just posted two photos to the challenge, one of my son discovering bubbles, the other is a friend's daughter, who also manages to warm a room with her bubbly disposition. Thanks Neil, for the opportunity to participate.

I have uploaded 3 photos for this weeks challange....

I believe that I tagged them correctly however they are showing up in the group list and not in the challange list. I did have this problem in the week 1 challange also. I have gone through all my settings and read the help stuff. I bet I am missing somthing very silly and easy??

HELP!!!

@mebaczuk: How old is your flickr account? I had problems with my photos not turning up in public searches as my account hadn't been moderated.

If you go to www.flickr.com/help/filters/?search=moderated#253, there is a topic "My account has been reviewed as moderate. What does that mean?" - under that is a link to request your account to be reviewed. This will speed up the moderation process, and you should see your photos available under public searches.

Post back here with any more questions.
