Group DescriptionWelcome to the National Museum of Flight
This group is an opportunity for you to share your personal images of the museum – photos of your favourite objects and displays, the architecture of the museum, your friends and families enjoying their visit are all welcome. We’d love to see the museum through your eyes. Photography is allowed in the museum so long as the images taken are for personal, non-commerical use. Please check out our photography guidelines before posting your images to the group. Thank you.
If you have images from any of our other museum sites, please post these to the relevant groups:

The National Museum of Flight is part of National Museums Scotland, the country's national museum service. The museum tells the extraordinary story of our human ambition to take to the skies. East Fortune played an important role as an airfield during two World Wars. Now the hangars are packed with aircraft that reveal how flight developed from the Wright brothers to Concorde.
Want to visit our collections in person? Come and see us at East Fortune Airfield, East Lothian EH39 5LF. Please check our website for up to date opening times and admission prices. See you there!
National Museums Scotland cannot be held responsible for any images posted to this group by third party users. However, if you discover any images in the group pool which you feel are inappropriate or in breach of copyright, please contact us and we will follow it up with the relevant user and, if necessary, report it to Flickr.
Group RulesAll images must have been taken at the National Museum of Flight, which includes the hangars and other buildings as well as the site, i.e. the Airfield, itself. Images of objects and displays, architecture and buildings, the Airfield, events and people enjoying their visit are all welcome.
Images taken at the Airshow are welcome, but preference is given to scenes showing the event in the context of the museum, i.e. with crowds, buildings, the site in the background. Some above ground shots are acceptable, but you are kindly asked not to flood the pool with these as there are several Airshow groups for this, and to restrict these kinds of shots to a maximum of 10 per person.
Photography is allowed throughout the museum unless otherwise indicated, so long as the images taken are for personal, non-commerical use. Please familiarise yourself with the museum’s full photography guidelines on the main group page before posting any images to the pool.
We would like our group pool to be as diverse as possible. You are kindly asked not to flood the pool with multiple similar or identical images. If you have several shots of the same view, please choose one or two of your favourite or best ones to share.
All posted images and discussions must be suitable for a family audience, please consider this before you post.
The admins reserve the right to remove any material they deem to be offensive or deemed to be in breach of the museum’s photography guidelines at any time without notice. Other material that is deemed not to meet the objects of the group may also be removed.
Repeat offenders will be blocked.
