After months and months of thinking of buying my 1st DSLR, I almost plumped for the Nikon D40, but , Canon releases a new update and Nikon is on the verge of releasing a new one.

Now I'm back to square one.

Canon is swaying me with the LiveView. Will the Nikon have this?

Which is the better choice, or should I go for something else?

Advice will be appreciated!

I have my Nikon D60. All other features are great but the upset is that it has no AEB. You have to manually set the Exposure Bracketing which is very useful for HDRs processing. Also, it has no built-in motor to drive the non-AF lenses and no "commander" to trigger wireless flash.

I've got a canon 400d now for the last 6 months, though have not done that many photos with it yet.

Off to Iceland soon, so here's hoping!
