Hello I am starting a new thread for anyone who likes to write about horse. So feel free to post your poems, comment or discuss them here!

I would like to start off by sharing my poem, wild horse

The wild horse was broken
Wild horse that was born free
The fire had fled his eyes
A daring feat was done?
He was no longer free
Yet still his heart did beat
Steady soulless rhythm
Mind took wing to the sky
Chase the ghost of freedom
Through searching memories
The wild horse was broken
Wild horse that was born free

I wrote this in memory of my pony, Hunter that I got for Christmas a few years ago. A few months after i got him he was diagnosed with lymphoma and he passed away about a year and a half later. He was very special to me and I miss him very much. So this poem is for Hunter.

Love Will Live On

Two years
Tick by so fast
I tried to hold on
Tried to make it last
The perfect match
Was wilting away
Just by disease
Life is as fair as it doesn’t seem
So I held his neck in my arms
Rested his sweet head close to my heart
I looked back to the two years we had
But as happy as they were
It still made me sad
I still smell the scent of his mane
Sometimes it helps me
To ease the pain
The pictures are freezes of time that was spent
Together like always
Until when he went
And I try to cover up
The last memory of him
With the Christmas morning
He had a red bow tied on him
I remember one thing
Through the tears I have cried
Love will live on
When fragile dreams die

Hey I would just like to let everyone know that I will be setting up pages on my website to help other writers,..So if anyone really loves to write, and would like to have a place to showcase some of their work, let me know. It will be a few weeks from now before I get everything up, and all I can really offer right now is a place that you can call your own spot. But just wanted to make this available to everyone so let me know!
