First of all, love this group. Totally enjoy looking at all those pics.

There's now a Ms. Bento available which includes a soup container (total 3 containers). Does anyone have the NCE09 - does the food stay hoter than in the other Ms. Bento? What's the total volume of the 3-container-Ms. Bento?

I just discovered the new Zojirushi bento designs so ran over here to see what folks think of this new Ms. Bento. I have the blue Mini Bento and also Mr. Bento (the former for me, the latter for my boyfriend). I get the impression that the boiling hot soup container makes a pretty big difference in how hot things stay. The specs stated on Zojirushi's page are:

Non-soup Ms Bento: 127 F after 6 hours
Soup Ms Bento: 149 F after 6 hours

I believe that is if the soup goes in boiling. The soup really acts as the hot pack for the whole thing. It would be interesting to see if anyone else confirms this.

i usually do not put soup in the soup bowl i use veggies with a little water and i heat it up in the microwave to boiling. youre right if you put hot food in the soup bowl it does make a huge difference with heat retention. i own a ms bento comes with a gray tote bag and 3 bowls. At first i saw how small it is and i thought this isnt going to be enough food or it wont stay warm. I tried it anyway and i cant live without it and it came in handy when the microwave broke at work and everyone elese had to get fast food. Ive noticed im not starving by dinnertime either. Thankgod for zojirushi mr/ms./mini bento !
