I have been thinking about purchasing the following Fit & Fresh Lunch to Go Container:

I was wondering if this is something I would post to the bento box group, or if I could post it here as well. It's not a jar, but it's sort of the same concept...

Anyway, I would have emailed someone individually but I wasn't sure whom I should ask. Also, if anyone has experience with this product, any input in terms of your satisfaction with it would be appreciated. I can't find reviews anywhere... Thanks!

This isn't an answer to your question in any way, but I just wanted to say that I saw that the other week and considered buying it for my boyfriend (a Mr. Bento wouldn't fit in his bag and he doesn't want to carry around something extra).

That's exactly why I'm considering buying one. Mr B is pretty big and sometimes it's difficult to lug him around campus all day. Even though this would only keep foods cold and not warm, it's something I might be willing to sacrifice for a lighter load at school.

I think that for purely aesthetic reasons, this group is mostly for lunch jars. The packing/presentation styles for small round lunch containers is what sets them apart from standard bentos/other cool lunch contraptions like laptoplunches.com. My goal isn't to be exclusive -- but part of the visual appeal of the group pool is all the little round stackable containers. :)

My friend has that and really likes it. It fits well in bags and isn't heavy.

Okay, then I'll post to the bento box group if/when I get one. Thanks!

kusine: Did your friend get it at a local store? I'm thinking I don't want to pay $6 shipping on a $10 item. Target or Longs or something, maybe?

She found it at CVS or Target, I think. The company has a website that lists where their stuff is sold.

Oooh. I must have one!

Really? I found one at Longs today, I'm so excited!

I don't know if you want to join another group, but I just created one for the Fit and Fresh. Join me ^^

I got one for my sister from drugstore.com when I was doing an order for myself anyway and it fits into the bottom part of one of those zipper soft lunchboxes from Target... the top part is rounded and is where the drink goes. I have it ready to mail so I can't open it to tell you exactly which one it is.

I know there were discussions about different brands of lunch jars, but I can't seem to find the thread.

I need to buy a new lunch jar because my brother has commandeered Mr. Bento. Does anyone have a Thermos brand lunch jar or any brand? If so, is it good quality? What are your complaints or praise?

How about Tiger?
Tiger is as good as Zojirushi.

I think there are a couple members who post pictures of their Tiger lunches.

My husband has a Tiger. I will say that it's not made as well as Mr. Bento, and the latch on the lid broke after about 6 months of 3x/week use.

I have a Nissan Thermos jar -- it's excellent quality. I took apart both the Zo and the Thermos in a store and they're equivalent in terms of quality. My husband's a fan because of the cool brushed metal exterior (looks masculine, not cutesy). Photos in one of my Flikr sets at the beginning.
