Please... TRAINS MUST BE MOVING!!!!! EXTERIOR VIEWS ONLY!!!! The rules are listed under the Group Description. If this is too many rules for you, don't join the group. I continue to get a lot of violations.... No toy trains or miniature trains that kids ride in amusement parks. A few are already in the pool, so they are grandfathered in, as of 3 Mar 2007. Thanks to Jay (Lionel682) for the icon..https://www.flickr.com/photos/lionel682/5042494367/in/pool-movingtrains/ ....2 Oct 2010

Group Description

The subject of the image is the EXTERIOR of a MOVING TRAIN --on wheels-- which is ON RAILS, not suspended from them. The train can be going fast or slow, but it MUST be moving. YOU can either be moving or stationary. If you are inside a train, you're taking a picture of either a DIFFERENT or the SAME train you are in...but it MUST be a view of a train's exterior.

This group is for trains only, in the sense of a big engine, by itself, or pulling a number of cars. The engine can be diesel or steam or whatever. This group is NOT intended for trolley cars, trams, street cars, monorails, suspended trains, cable cars, funiculars (= inclines), mechanized model trains, or toy trains..including the miniature kind that kids ride in amusement parks.

Photographs of moving trains are OK. Please, no artwork (drawings, paintings. etc.).

Trains "moving" on turning platforms are no good. The wheels must be moving.

The definition of what a "train" is will embrace the concept of subways, metro, U-bahn, etc. so those are OK to post. Thanks for understanding.
