Group Description

Welcome to the Moments in Time group and Thanks SO Much for joining us!
This is the Elia Locardi Flickr group surrounding the YouTube video series and the concept of capturing “Moments in Time”!

This group is THE place to continue the conversation surrounding the video series that takes us on a journey around the world, ask questions, get exclusive content captured during the filming of the series, share about photography, travel, experiences, and everything that happens between the frames. I’m mostly focused on travel, landscape and cityscape photography, so if you want feedback on your food, macro or portrait photos, I’m probably not the best resource for that.

You may be asking yourself, why create this video series and community?
I’ve spent the last ten years traveling the world full-time as a professional photographer. And the more I explored our incredible planet, the more I discovered that the true beauty doesn’t reside only in the photos that we take, but rather in the relationships we build with the people we meet along the way, the cultures we explore, the stories we’re inspired by, and all of the wonderful Moments in Time that we experience between capturing those frames. I began to feel like there was so much more that I was learning and being inspired by that I wanted to share with the world, beyond just the photos I was taking.

For years, the idea of creating a video series was slowly growing in my mind. I wanted to find a way to encapsulate and share all of the wonderful moments that have enriched my life during my travels—the elements that surround my life as a photographer—the real things that I feel define who we are and shape us into what we become. Moreover, I wanted to help amplify the voices of others—the people that have helped inspire me the most with their knowledge and friendship. Granted, this is a video series where I’m the host, but it’s not a series about me. It’s about everything that surrounds the world of photography and the people that make it so special.

We have wrapped up filming Season One of “Moments in Time” and the amazing two months of production took us to Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Italy and Spain. Throughout the journey we were able to interview, collaborate, and learn from dozens of amazing local experts, artists, and photographers from all over the world. The cameras were always running to capture every unique moment in time along the way.

We’ve learned about so many beautiful locations from the unique perspectives of locals and creatives from across multiple genres. I sincerely can’t wait to share this series with all of you, keep the conversation going and give you the inside scoop to exclusive content here on Flickr.

My hope for this group is that it helps to connect photographers worldwide and forge new relationships through our shared passion!

Group Rules

Please share your inspiration and vision, but keep any negativity to yourself. Here are some guidelines of how to do that just in case and by joining this community, you agree to:

1. Introduce yourself and your interest in being here on the "Welcome! - Please introduce yourself" Discussion. Who are you? What brought you here? What inspires you?

2. Share your photos (travel, landscape and cityscape photos are most relevant), inspiration, vision and positive insights, but keep any negative comments or insults to yourself. And that definitely means, keeping this a politics-free zone.

3. Encourage one another, share useful on-topic ideas, thoughts, and please offer constructive criticism ONLY when asked for it. In general, treat other community members as you would like to be treated yourself.

4. Keep discussion threads on-topic and avoid disrupting the thread with unnecessary or off-topic comments. You can start a new discussion and be the one to get the conversation going!

5. Follow generally accepted rules of a group.

6. This is a space for photographers, so images are welcome here, but let’s please keep them Rated PG in case we have any younger community members. In particular, we’d love to see how photography helps you to capture a Moment in Time and what it means to you?

7. Last but not least, please do not use this group for advertising of websites, photostreams, self-promotion, etc. That’s what the *Welcome! - Please introduce yourself* thread is for, please use it!
