Round 3 - Let's pick a block

Who's got more scraps? Seems that just when I think I'm making a dent in the scrap bucket - another quilt or two adds more and more scraps :)

Who is up for a Round 3? Although June and July are already shaping up to be crazy busy – I hope you can join us! Round 3 deadline will be July 20th. Giving everybody 2 full months to hopefully sew a HUGE stack of blocks to swap.
But first – we have to decide on the scrapbuster block. Here are just a few blocks I have found. Please post any other favorites you have as well…and then chat it up so we can see what everybody thinks!

I like the idea of half square triangles of some kind (#1).
Or just arranging all our scraps in neat rainbow rows of squares (#3).
#4 is nice too.
I guess I am being drawn to something a little less wonky this month.

1/2 triangles KILL me!!! But I will do them...

Number 2 is very cool and would be great to paper peice....

The rainbow block is 2x2, right? eek...to many of those in Tokyo Subway blocks!

Block #1 and #2 make me nervous. I'm not sure I'm talented enough for that many points yet. I'd be in for the others though!

I'm loving all the feedback....I read a definite front runner block - but let's give it a few more days of chatting just to make sure :)

I'm in for 1, 2 or 5. Really like #2. What is it called?
Can't handle any more 2" blocks right now (I call it the Tokyo Subway Block syndrome!)
There's a really great tutorial link I'll post for half trianges should we go with that block.

Thanks for posting. I'll have to watch! Maybe I'll get over my fear and try it if we decide on that one. Will the solid portions be named like all white or all black? This is my first time in this swap!

We did a demo of this half square triangles technique at our mod quilt guild meeting and it works perfectly.
