Hello, I just added a photo of a couple guys in Delhi selling small blue/purple berries. I'm trying to figure out what they are. They tasted a bit sour initially but turned sweet as I ate them, or had a sweet after taste.

Anyone familiar with this species?

I do not know, I just guess that some darker berries in this region may be jambul: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jambul
But I see your photo was taken in May, I do not know if its season, some say jambul berries appear later: www.flickr.com/photos/lkamala/952666810/ and possibly jamun is bigger: www.flickr.com/photos/balu/527605257/
