I am a member of the Bowie-Crofton Camera Club...I find viewing the images entered in the competitions and the comments made by the guest judge help my photography. They also have talks about photography related subjects almost weekly during the club's calendar year.

I'm a member of the National Zoo's photoclub... About 25+ active members, meetings are at the Zoo 1st Tuesday of the month in the building next to the Cheetah habitats.

It's more than just zoo photographers, recently 2 members went to Africa and shared their work, and this guy's a member too and just published a book...

Hmmm. I wonder if we'll ever have such a thing out west (The sticks. You know... "Mountain Maryland" ;).

This may be heresy on a Maryland site, but I belong to the Northern Virginia Photographic Society and we have a lot of members from Montgomery County. Meet every Tuesday night, 7pm in the Dunn Loring Fire Hall social hall, which is close to Tysons Corner. Great club, great speakers, great competitions. Here is their website nvps.org/main/.

Hi. I am also in Charles County, and was wondering if there was a club there. I've found the ones in St. Mary's and Calvert on the Internet, but I haven't been to a meeting yet. Thought I would ask. Thanks.

Saw a couple folks from Charles County - you're more than welcome to join us sometime at the Calvert Photography Club. We meet formally the 3rd Saturday of the month and have trips and assignments on a monthly basis. We are a relatively young club - but a great group of folks. Check out the website, Flickr group and Facebook pages:
