Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to DSLR macro photography, so I hope this isn't a dumb question!

Basically I want to take photos of insects on a white background that actually looks white. When I get the images onto the computer they always come out grey, and only with post-processing can I get it right. This is fine, but I'd love to be able to do this with the camera.

I'm using a Nikon D3200 with a 60mm lens and a SB-700 speedlight. My white balance is 'flash' as I feel this gives me the best colours, without the insects looking a little bit washed out. You can see examples of what I want to achieve on my feed (these are processed to get the white, white).

Any help would be great :)
