Group Description

VINTAGE advertising images of women (and men) with a more than friendly enthusiasm for their modern electric home appliances.

1) Is it a VINTAGE advertisement? (50s, give or take a decade or two or so)
2) Does it feature a woman/man?
3) Does it feature a "modern" electric home appliance?

If yes to all three, please add it to the pool!!!!

Note: If you have PHOTOS of your appliance, please add to the sister group: Vintage Appliances [PHOTOS] pool, instead.

Images should show someone enthusiastically displaying/using their appliance, whether it be a oven, freezer, refrigerator, toaster, typewriter, phone, iron, mixer, blender, barbecue, you name it!!

You know the kind of mid-century ad illustration I mean - the one where the woman (or man) is absolutely ecstatic about their new electric home appliance - often with their hand extended towards the product, and a huge smile on their face... much happier about their appliance than any person in the real world would ever be, like it has changed their life!! I figured that it was time to showcase these happy happy customers.

Images should be circa 1950s (give or take a decade or so), of vintage magazine or newspaper ads or illustrations from product packaging --from the time of big shiny (even scary) smiles without Crest whitening strips.

Images should be from authentic vintage advertisements -- No recent images, your art, collaged/revised/enhanced images, or current retro images made to "look" vintage.
