As always Julian I'm going to be there, I've also post a meet-up post as well directing people back to here

This sounds fun! I've never been to a meet up before, but I'd love to come (provided the exam papers are marked and the reports are on their way...)

It already sounds like a few hours walk, but nevertheless: do you have an idea of hoe long it'll take? Just considering and interested if I can align this with other plans for the day.

juliangeezer PRO Posted 6 years ago. Edited by juliangeezer (member) 6 years ago
Sergey - Probably around 3 hours, though this is just a rough estimate, as timing depends on how long people will be stopping to take photos and whether we make a pub lunch stop on route.
Treble2309 PRO 6 years ago

This looks great but I can't stay for the entire duration - will meet you at the start and see how it goes. Is that OK?
Treble2309 PRO 6 years ago

I have RSVPd "yes" via Meetup. Do I need to do an Upcoming response?
juliangeezer PRO 6 years ago
Treble2309, No probs if you want to leave the walk at some point.

A few photos :

between London Bridge and canada water :
new view over the thames.

Just after canada water :
A walk along the Thames on a cold winter day.

it's nice, quiet and relaxing.

A bollard in front of the Thames ...

curlicue from William Pye.

Then after that point the walk leave the Thames and it's not so interesting until you re-join the Thames, much closer from Greenwich.
jchiangg 6 years ago
It would be a pleasure to join! Hopefully I can actually make it this time.

I'm a complete newbie on all of this, so I may well bail, however I may be in attendance if I'm around London next week :)
Paolo G PRO 6 years ago
Braden - Newbies are welcome so feel free to change you mind and come along.
Nikita_70 6 years ago
A first time for me, but as I live just down the street from the Surrey Docks City Farm (which I definitely recommend you visit - I have taken some nice photos myself from the farm) I'll try to make it at 11 AM, especially as my exams finish the day before and spending a few hours on photography sounds nice! :)

A days drinking in the pub has been cancelled so I'd put this in my diary and I'm looking forward to it.
sjhita 6 years ago
I'd like to attend too. First time for me too but would be good to meet some like minded people and hopefully get some good photos. See you there.
Hoping that it stays dry and that I don't end up at the car scrapyard again (like I did yesterday) which would prevent me from attending :-(

Thanks Julian for organising this walk lovely to meet new and old people. Since up coming is going please tag photos meetup:eventid=696092 until we finalise a solution. This is done to filter out photos that are not from our walks

Hi Julian,

Thanks for organising the photo walk. Got to discover some interesting hidden bits of London on route like the Surrey Docks city farm and Brunel Museum which looks like it could be worth a visit sometime.

This goes out to everyone old and new please make sure all submitted photo contain relevant event tag for the walk no tag no submission.

Each Photo needs to have following tag

We just get way to many generic photos of london submitted that we have to be this stringent
Peter McClintock PRO 6 years ago
Thanks, Julian, for organising the photowalk and for laying on such great weather. Sorry I had to leave before Greenwich .. had an appointment with a curry in Brick Lane :).

Hope to see you all again on a future walk.

Thanks for your appreciation, hope you all enjoyed it and we were very lucky with the weather on the day. May do something similar later in the year, & probably following a London canal, ...& a pub!
