Group DescriptionThis is intended to start a collection of photos specific to the United Kingdom that will aid the development of safe and effective cycle facilities for UK, particularly in response to the draft Highway Code that is may be attempting to compel cyclists to use facilities where they exist www.dsa.gov.uk/content.asp?id=13014 . It's hoped that a collection that gives specific examples will be useful. See the CTC site for their campaign on this issue: www.ctc.org.uk/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabID=4303
This group is similar to the Bicycle Facilities group, www.flickr.com/groups/16713737@N00/ , but UK specific. Please give as many details as possible about the facilities you photograph, and take a look at Bicycle Facilities Group for other examples.
cyclefacility : For any photo showing cycle faciltites (everything in this group)
cyclelane: for a photo of an official 'cycle only' route
cyclesign: for a photo of a sign provided for cyclists
If you belong to a particular cycle campain then add the campaign name as a tag as well, for example 'IpswichCycleCampaign'.
Also, it is very useful to geotag photos and maybe this could make the group photos more useful in campaigning and having changes made as we'll immediately have the geographic reference.
