Group Description

Welcome student, to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

In order for the fine wizards and witches of our world to proceed in their magical ability, they attend various magical institutions to further their skills under the tutelage of skilled teachers. You students will be placed in one of four houses; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin, and you will attend a variety of lessons to further your skills.

How the game works:

Getting Started

You are a student. You will have a Hogwarts Student Sig Fig that will represent you. (No silly goofy designs. Only simple, matching Hogwarts uniforms.)
You will use your name, as your Sig Fig's name. (For example, I am Joseph Scase – you’re *insert name here*.)
After you have yourself made and everything, you will be sorted into a house. You’re housemates (alongside the rest of the student body) will attend various magical studies with you, and compete for house points.

The game itself is set after 2017 (after most of the major characters from the books and films have either left Hogwarts, or passed away). We would ask that you avoid including any major plot elements in your builds.

Homework

The Teachers will give you homework to practice, or study certain magical abilities. Each piece of homework must be built by over half of the Game members in order to achieve a decent grade for the end of the year. If less than half the Members build for the homework, the students will be punished in the form of detentions, and a reduction of points.

House Points

House Points will be rewarded to students who show outstanding performances. House Points will be rewarded after each challenge. More than one student can earn some house points. Students will earn higher amounts of house points depending on the quality of the build. House Points will be deducted for bad behavior.

Game Overview

In all, this is not really a game where you win or lose. Think of this game as a group building effort, where everyone works together to achieve a common goal – and, as all games are for; to have some fun!

(Heavily based off Jonathan’s Imperial Conquest Rules).
