flickr members donated prints to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. To offer aid and assistance to the victims of Huricane Katrina, all donations were made directly to the following charitable organizations...• Habitat for Humanity
• The United Way
• The Americares Foundation, and
• The Humane Society of the United States
although our auction is complete, we encourage you to conact these charities and donate anyway.
The final round of auctions ended Sept 30th @ 8:00 PM EDT.
a word of caution for those of you with kids: there are going to be images with nudity. where appropriate we've asked the artitsts to include "AO" (for "adults only") to thier work's title, however it should be realized that nudity and art have a long and distinguished co-dependence. we ask that, if you are concerned about viewing such images that you refrain from surfing the images in our pool. safe web surfing is everyone's responsibility
