I'm selling my Canon 24-70 f2.8 L USM lens. I recently upgraded to the Canon 5D Mark lll and 25-105 f4 L IS USM lens. I normally only open up to f2.8 if I really need the light, but prefer f4, and with the 5D Marklll I'm able to stay at f4 because of it's ISO tolerance. I increase ISO a bit rather than f stop. The 24-105 also has image stabilization that the 24-70 does not, and IS is an important feature for me. It's also lighter weight. I have other fast lenses for bokeh if that's what I'm aiming for like the 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.8. I bought the 24-70 about 18 months ago on sale and brand new for about $1600, so I'm the only owner. It has just returned from getting it's annual clean, check and calibration. I'm asking $1000. Just trying to recoup some of my original investment.
